My name is Phil...I live in St.Louis,Mo USA.....I just recently got my
Technician Amateur USA license..right now I have no rf equipment..so I
am using the internet to have qso's..I live on the 3rd floor of an
apartment building..so having an antenna is not an option..I do have a
balcony that I could put a mobile antenna I suppose..But I started
listening to eqso pmr and listened in the uhf cb room and 446 muppets
and Ian's server in Cypruss...I had been doing this for several months
and also was on Hamsphere (which does not seem to have many people
anymore)
I use FRN (free radio network) and now with the Tech
license I am on Echolink and CQ100 and waiting to register for the 3.0
version of eqso whenever they recover from the hacking that took place
several weeks ago..I have my license waiting in a folder to send
whenever they come back up...I am ok on QRZ.com ...I am 60 years
old..married and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren..one of my
daughters is 26 and is handicapped with a disease called NF and has
epilepsy..so she lives with me and my wife is legally blind and my 91
year old mother with a pace maker also lives with me (so I have my
hands full) that is why talking on the internet and writing is a stress
relief..Didnt mean to get carried away about the family..just wanted to
let everyone know what my situation is...So I hope that I have not said
too much and posted it on the wrong forum..if I have someone should let
me know where these comments belong..So thats about it from me and I'm
sure that I will enjoy the forum..
